Abstract

The most important thing in the world of sports and fitness is to improve one's athletic performance while minimizing the danger of injury. what yoga may provide as an approach that is complementary to these goals and holistic in nature. Physical postures, breathing exercises, mindful meditation, and relaxation techniques are all part of yoga's holistic practise. It was initially created in ancient India, where its roots can be found. By working on the mental, emotional, and physiological aspects of sports, it boosts agility, strength, balance, focus, and resilience. We showcase the versatility of yoga across different sports and fitness levels and examine the existing empirical evidence that supports yoga's beneficial impact on athletic performance and injury prevention.
