Abstract

This article sheds light on the textual openings in the novel The Book of the Prince as an essential component of the artistic construction of the narrative discourse. In this work, Waciny Laredj succeeds in combining the artistic and historical dimensions, thereby endowing the novelistic text with both artistic and historical credibility. Accordingly, this study seeks to explore the various manifestations of textual openings in The Book of the Prince and to demonstrate their particularity in terms of their impact on the artistic and referential levels of the novelistic narrative.
