Abstract

At a time when cognitive decline is on the rise, it is more important than ever to work toward cognitive vitality and brain health. the impact of yoga, a holistic activity that unites the mind and body, on mental acuity and brain function. Meditation, breathing exercises, physical postures, and mindfulness exercises are all part of the yoga practise, which has its roots in ancient philosophy. Neuroplasticity, stress reduction, and emotional regulation are the building blocks of yoga's impact on cognitive performance. Extensive research from several scientific institutions has supported the positive impacts of yoga on cognitive functioning, memory, attention, and executive functions. Additionally, because to yoga's versatility, tailored solutions may be developed for individuals of various ages, from children to the elderly. With an aging population comes the growing concern about the potential benefits of yoga on cognitive resilience and the rate of cognitive decline. People can improve their mental clarity, stave off cognitive decline, and live a better life in general by including yoga into their routines to promote cognitive health. Regular yoga practice can help with this.
